SEASIDE HEIGHTS – Borough Administrator Christopher Vaz has announced that the municipality has applied for a $1.5 million state Green Acres grant for construction of a building to house the famous Casino Pier carousel.

The carousel, which was created in 1910 by Dentzel-Looff, was purchased by Seaside in 2017 from Casino Pier and will be refurbished to its original glory. The two-stort building will be located adjacent to the boardwalk, in between Sampson and Carteret Avenues, on land the Borough acquired in a swap with Casino Pier.

The public is welcome to hear about the Green Acres grant application on March 20 at the Seaside Heights Municipal Complex at 5:00 pm.
