Toms River Police to Host Dodgeball Tournament

TOMS RIVER – Toms River Police Officers from PBA Local 137 and the Toms River Police Foundation are hosting a dodgeball tournament on Friday, March 22 at 5:30 PM to benefit the Police Unity Tour.

The event, which will take place the Toms River High School East Gynasium, will feature competitive and non-competitive dodgeball, a gift auction, raffles, a 50/50, face painting, music, a bounce house, food by Capones Gourmet Pizza, Rita’s Italian Ice, and more.

Dodgeball teams of seven, including one alternate, must be registered before March 10 to receive the special $75 fee. Teams registered after the cutoff date will be $100. Checks must be received by March 20. Waivers must be signed by each player on the day of the tournament, and photo ID is required at check-in. Children under 18 may participate but must have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian. There is a mandatory team captain meting at 6 PM on Wednesday, March 13 at the Toms River Police Headquarters at 255 Oak Ave. If team captains are unable to attend, a representative from the team must attend, and youth teams must send one parent representative. Brackets will be determined by registration.

All proceeds will benefit the Police Unity Tour, whose purpose is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty and to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum.
